The X-Fly Carbon Slalom is a one-piece C-Shape boom for performance-oriented windsurfers.
The boom material has an impact on its stiffness, weight and durability. Aluminium booms are light and economical while carbon booms are stiffer and more durable.
In gusty, light or strong wind conditions, you need to be able to maintain control. The carbon prepreg technology in Nautix booms limits boom flex and sail profile distortion, while transmitting power directly to the front of the boom, the mast and the board.
The stiffness of the front handle is the key point of the Nautix X-Fly Carbon boom. When pumping or in gusty winds, the foregrip is the part of the rig that transmits the wind power from the sail to the board. If the connection of the front grip is soft, you will have a better riding comfort. This is a good option for beginners or when sailing in rough waters to avoid back problems. If the connection is strong, you will get higher sailing performance.
Nautix X-Fly Carbon Slalom booms are a one-piece design, which means that they are made of a single, continuously shaped tube. The tube is ergonomically shaped for rigidity and durability.
The rear handle adjustment system has been designed to be fast while sailing. You can manage a 50cm extension with a 2.5cm adjustment to suit your sail and sailing conditions. The extension is adjusted with an exclusive Nautix push lock system. On carbon booms, the push locks are equipped with a double axis for better protection of the carbon.
The rear handle is wide so that it can be moved to gain power. It is compatible with the Clamcleat 42-43mm adjustment system.
In order to keep your X-Fly Carbon Slalom boom as long as possible, Nautix recommends rinsing it with fresh water after each windsurfing session.
To store it, find a place where it won’t be exposed to shocks or unnecessary sunlight.
