The Nx Slalom boom is a one-piece C-Shape with a reduced diameter and ultra-rigidity. It has the best lightness/stiffness ratio on the market.
The result of our Research & Development department, the Nx Slalom’s aluminium tube shape has been designed to provide optimal comfort while combining extreme rigidity. The elliptical shape of the Nx Slalom boom tube, by increasing the square moment of the cross section, gives the stiffness that the windsurfer needs to transfer energy to the board. The wide camber also provides more power.
Our new modified polyamide foregrip with peripheral clamping allows more compression power on the mast, and less structural deformation. It ensures a better transmission of effort for a quick start to the planning. It has been designed to maximise contact area and mast protection.
The Nx Slalom boom’s front handle angulation adjustment and the flexible, removable RDM/SDM adaptor allow it to be adapted to all sizes of windsurfers.
The wide, one-piece Diamond 3-pulley tail handle of the Nx Slalom 180-230cm and 200-250cm booms is designed for slalom and freeride sails. It allows you to move away from the centre of thrust for more power and control. It also makes it easier to use the sheeting systems when sailing.
For the 160-210cm, the Nx Slalom boom has a one-piece slalom handle with a 3-pulley block for smaller sail areas.
Its 28mm diameter will provide you with optimum comfort and rigidity. The one-piece structure ensures a smooth aluminium tube. The ellipse of the tube also offers ideal ergonomics for the hands, which results in less fatigue and less trauma (blisters).
The ultra-comfortable Fungrip is used on all Nautix booms. Our expertise in the choice of grip and the precision of our gluing ensure long-term comfort for your hands.
The Nx Slalom boom is compatible with the Clamcleat 30-32mm (ideal) or 32-35mm (with shim) boom adjustment systems.
Nautix has selected high quality anodised 5086 aluminium to manufacture its booms. 5086 is known for its stiffness and corrosion resistance, ideal for the marine environment.
The hardness of the 5000 series, which is widely used in shipbuilding, is not expressed with a T as these grades are not usually heat treated. They are hardened by cold rolling.
Aluminium 5086 represents an optimal compromise between rigidity, corrosion resistance and mechanical properties (resistance to breakage and fatigue). It does, however, require fine control of the deformation processes.
To keep your Nx Slalom boom as long as possible, Nautix advises you to rinse it with fresh water after each windsurfing session.
To store it, find a place where it will not be exposed to shocks or unnecessary sunlight.
Nautix manufactures its aluminium booms in Europe.
Since its creation, Nautix has been an established company in the boating market. The passion of its managers and employees for the sea, the taste for the design and manufacture of products adapted to the practice of the greatest number of people have always been the guiding principles for 40 years.
For Nautix, the meaning of history is not to import products from the other side of the world for our leisure activities. We are developing the capacities and agility to be innovative and competitive on the French, European and export markets.
Nautix is today the only western manufacturer offering a complete range of windsurfing accessories.
We develop our products in parallel with an environmental impact analysis. Thus, on the criteria of warming, ozonic degradation, acidification and eutrophication, the reduction of the environmental impact is between 15 and 75% compared to an imported boom.
Finally, there is the not inconsiderable social benefit of maintaining an industry in the area.
